Owner, Chief Medical Officer

Christine Reid, DVM

Dr. Christine Reid has been in the veterinary field since 2009. First as an assistant, then a licensed veterinary technician, and finally as a veterinarian. Her undergraduate focus was on physiology and neurobiology and she focussed on small animal medicine during her veterinary education. She excelled during her clinical year of vet school earning numerous awards and accolades for client communication, patient care, surgery, and oncology.

She started practice in a rural North Carolina community where she confidently tackled difficult cases and difficult surgical procedures and wounds. It was during these years she developed her strong beliefs in accurate informed consent and that if an owner was willing to try for their pet she would try with them. Since then she has worked in a variety of emergency settings including referral hospitals alongside criticalists, cardiologists, and surgeons where her knowledge and skills continued to grow and her standards for patient care became deeply rooted.

Dr. Reid is driven by her pursuit to help her patients to the full extent of her abilities and to do so at the highest standard of care that she can provide. She believes in open and honest conversation as well as free collaboration with her colleagues and she could not be more excited to be taking this step and serving the community she cares so much about. She lives in Yorktown with her fiance, 2 beautiful human girls, and 4 rescue pets (1 dog and 3 cats).
