We want to increase access to advanced surgical care
Emergency or advanced procedures are cost prohibitive for many families
And low cost facilities have limitations in their staffing, techniques, medications, and client interactions.
At HRVPC we aim to bridge the gap between specialty level care and low cost. Our goal is to expand the availability of advanced surgical procedures usually performed by boarded specialists AND to do so with individualized care specific the patient and family that care for them.
That includes: individualized multi-modal pain control and anesthesia, cardiac safe anesthetic protocols, diligent patient monitoring, close consultation and follow up with primary veterinarians AND individual consultation between the veterinarian and human family members.
Dr. Reid believes that pets do best when the veterinarian and human family members are part of the same team. We could never replace your primary veterinarian, but we are hoping to become a part of the team that ensures your pet is healthy and taken care of like the special family member they are.

ANALGESIA
Multi-modal pain control for every patients means we that we can combine different pain medications and their different properties to achieve complete pain control to speed recovery and improve outcomes.
Research has repeatedly shown that appropriate pain control speeds and improves healing, decreases complications, and improves the outcome of surgical procedures - including patient recovery and owner perception.
Multi-modal analgesia during surgical procedures decreases anesthetic requirements, increasing safety and decreasing anesthesia related complications
Post operative pain control combined with recommended confinement drastically decreases post operative complications and improves recovery
